Godrej Consumer, India's largest fast moving consumer goods company, has posted a net profit of Rs 56.10 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, up 45.41 per cent as compared to Rs 37.14 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008. Further, the company has also witnessed a surge of 29.55 per cent its total income, which increased from Rs 215.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 279.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. For the year ended March 31, 2009, the company has posted a growth of 9 per cent its net profit, which surged to Rs 161.55 crore as compared to Rs 148.09 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income of the company has increased from Rs 896.19 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 1098.27 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009. Apart from announcement of results, the company declared a fourth interim dividend @ Rs 0.75 per share (75% on the shares of face value of Re 1/- each) for the financial year 2008-09.
